LIVE REVIEW
Adam Dunne Club OSMU on The Cracked.
Taking to the stage amid whoops, cheers and whistles, the guys dived straight into Acidious Housius which contains all the dancy, jivey stuff that we all love The Cracked for. The crowd were boogying from the get go and the energy levels were cranked to 11 as the band ploughed through their back catalogue with fell-good track Getting Better, latin-influenced Spanish Tune and the stomping Let's Kill Ourselves.
As their set drew to a close, the crowd voiced their disapproval by screaming their demands that The Cracked played one final track, so much so, an encore auction was held by the compere, with bids on how many more tracks they should perform. Not to the leave the mob unhappy, the band agreed and got everybody jumping, dancing and stomping with the raucous In The City.
Saying The Cracked are a good band doesn't do them justice. In my book, they're guaranteed to get the audience throwing mad shapes all the way through their set. Anyone who turns up to the gig unhappy will leave ecstatic. that's a promise.
No, The Cracked aren't a good band. They're down right amazing. jULY 2009
