LIVE REVIEW

Adam Dunne Club OSMU on The Cracked.

Taking to the stage amid whoops, cheers and whistles, the guys dived straight into Acidious Housius which contains all the dancy, jivey stuff that we all love The Cracked for. The crowd were boogying from the get go and the energy levels were cranked to 11 as the band ploughed through their back catalogue with fell-good track Getting Better, latin-influenced Spanish Tune and the stomping Let's Kill Ourselves.
As their set drew to a close, the crowd voiced their disapproval by screaming their demands that The Cracked played one final track, so much so, an encore auction was held by the compere, with bids on how many more tracks they should perform. Not to the leave the mob unhappy, the band agreed and got everybody jumping, dancing and stomping with the raucous In The City.
Saying The Cracked are a good band doesn't do them justice. In my book, they're guaranteed to get the audience throwing mad shapes all the way through their set. Anyone who turns up to the gig unhappy will leave ecstatic. that's a promise.
No, The Cracked aren't a good band. They're down right amazing. jULY 2009

IV: Back once again come the renegade masters
We're into the fourth instalment of Club OSMU now and because they were so damn good at the inaugural event, we've got The Cracked back to play on July 25th. For a three piece led by a singerman with an acoustic guitar, they make a lot of noise. But it's a beautiful noise from a trio who really know how to write, arrange and perform great music. Outstanding three-part harmonies, lyrics that are genuinely witty and interesting and a singing drummer called Stardust. You will want for nothing, trust us.

Oooodles of Baleric sunshine with bananas and oranges. Unclebillsmobiledisco.

Club O.S.M.U. launch - 11 April April 11th, about 9.00pm. The Cracked kick off Club O.S.M.U. with a storming set to a raucous reception. They might have been singing about the darker side of life here and there, but everyone was joining in before they realised it, so infectious was the band's combination of harmony, torrential rhythm and spiky melody. They look set to become Club O.S.M.U. regulars.

Nice original vibe here - has a feel to it of it's own - maybe a Donovanesque-noughties- quirky type vibe, very good.

A very different track to your other - showing good diversity - still good writing and playing. Production values excellent.

Great ska-style breakdowns! It's an interesting track........an emo's dream lyric! Well produced again......particularly nice outro.....maybe a minute too long. Kevin Mooney
